A: No. This is a pure EPON ONU device compliant with IEEE 802.3ah. It is specifically designed to work with EPON OLTs. If your network uses GPON (ITU-T G.984), please refer to our GPON or XPON (dual-mode) ONU models. Mixing EPON and GPON devices on the same OLT port is not supported .
Q: What management protocols does this 1GE EPON ONU support?
A: This EPON ONU fully supports standard OAM (IEEE 802.3ah Clause 57 and extended OAM) as well as CTC OAM 2.0/2.1 specifications. This allows for remote configuration, performance monitoring, fault isolation, and firmware upgrades when paired with a compatible OLT management system .
